On May 17, 2024, Hasanzade hosted a language taster session at the UNESCO RILA Spring School at the University of Glasgow. The session, titled "Azerbaijani Adventures: Navigating the Joyful Jumble of Language and Culture," invited participants to explore the unique aspects of the Azerbaijani language. From the adventurous alphabet to rich idiomatic expressions and proverbs, the session was a joyful exploration filled with laughter, light-hearted moments, and deep cultural insights. Attendees found themselves in a supportive and energetic atmosphere, fostering an appreciation for the nuances of the Azerbaijani language.
Continuing her cultural showcase, on May 22, 2024, Hasanzade curated a traditional Azerbaijani tea ceremony alongside Narmin Aliyeva, Shamkhal Ganizade, and Shabnam Mammadova. Titled "Echoes from the Land of Fire: The Art and Soul of the Azerbaijani Tea Ceremony," the event allowed attendees to experience the rich traditions and flavors of Azerbaijan. The tea, affectionately known as “purrengi” ("velvet"), was served in traditional “armudu” glasses and accompanied by an array of traditional sweets and jams. The ceremony highlighted the art and soul of Azerbaijani hospitality, transforming participants into “chaykhor” (tea connoisseurs) and leaving them with a deep appreciation for the culture.
Feedback from participants and conference guests was overwhelmingly positive. Attendees praised the engaging and interactive nature of both events, with many expressing a newfound appreciation for Azerbaijani language and culture. These experiences not only deepened their understanding but also fostered a connection to Azerbaijan that many had not felt before.
