About Us
Founded in 2023 with the endorsement of the University of Glasgow, the University of Glasgow Azerbaijan Alumni Association (UGAAA) proudly stands as a prominent global alumni association of the university. Our primary mission is to cultivate a strong sense of community among UofG alumni and Azerbaijani alumni affiliated with UK institutions. Additionally, we are dedicated to building a robust network among our alumni, facilitating meaningful connections during our events.
How do we function?
Operating under the umbrella of the University of Glasgow, UGAAA functions as an independent entity, guided by a committed committee accountable to the UofG. The committee, composed of six UofG alumni, including the President, Vice-President, and four committee members, ensures the smooth functioning and integrity of our association.
Who can attend our events?
While our events are collaboratively organized with the University, UGAAA takes the lead in their execution. Publicly announced events are inclusive and open to all UK alumni, providing a platform to partake in cultural experiences, network with fellow alumni, and enjoy a variety of entertaining activities.
What kind of events do we host?
UGAAA curates a diverse array of events, encompassing cultural celebrations such as Burns Night, Novruz, Saint Andrew's Day, and more. In addition, we organize socializing events like trivia nights, breakfast gatherings, and various engaging activities.
