The Glasgow Azerbaijan Alumni Association (UGAAA), in partnership with the State Program and the UFAZ Alumni Network, and with the support of the French-Azerbaijani University, proudly hosted Azerbaijan’s first-ever ‘UK Pre-Departure Orientation’ on [Event Date]. This pioneering event marked a significant milestone in guiding Azerbaijani students as they prepare for their studies in the United Kingdom.

The orientation brought together students from over 20 different UK universities, providing them with essential information to ensure a smooth transition. UGAAA board members shared their personal experiences, offering valuable insights on what students can expect during their studies in the UK. Topics covered included visa and immigration tips, cultural insights, accommodation and transportation guidance, health and safety information, and other practical advice to help students prepare for their journey.

Additionally, the event introduced attendees to TALAB, a UK-based startup aimed at simplifying student life through an innovative application designed to offer practical support during their studies. The networking session following the presentation allowed students to connect with future university peers and build connections before their departure. A Q&A session was also held by the UGAAA board, where all questions were thoroughly addressed.

UGAAA extends its gratitude to all supporters, partners, and attendees for their invaluable contributions to this groundbreaking event. We look forward to organizing more events and fostering future collaborations to continue supporting our students.
