November 18th, 2023 marked the official formation of the University of Glasgow Azerbaijan Alumni Association! Our gathering was a fantastic opportunity to connect with fellow alumni, exchange inspiring ideas for the future, and foster new friendships. The 3-hour breakfast was filled with joy as guests shared stories from their time at the University of Glasgow.

Burns Night

The University of Glasgow Azerbaijan Alumni Association (UGAAA) hosted a Burns Night event on the 17th of February at the Shirvanshah Hotel. This special night was dedicated to the memory of the great Scottish poet Robert Burns.

Farid Nasirli, President of the UGAAA, opened the event with a speech, noting that the organization was established on November 18, 2023. One of its main missions is to further strengthen relations between graduates and the importance of building a network via community.

Atir Guliyeva, Vice President of the UGAAA, shared information about the legacy of Robert Burns, who was a champion of the common man, a critic of social injustice, and a voice for the downtrodden.
